NOW CASTING:
Speaking & Non-Speaking Roles
SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: MONDAY JULY 25
AUDITIONS: THURS JULY 28 in Houston, TX.
The Director will hand select those he wants to see, and who he wants to submit a video. This is not an open casting.
NOTE: ALL ROLES REQUIRE A CZECH ACCENT. If you are a quick learner of dialects, you may still submit. We plan to have a dialect coach at the audition for those who may need it, and you will have 5 minutes to be coached before your audition.
Principal (Speaking) Roles: PAID $100/day
MILENA (24-30), An orphan, she grew up on the streets of Prague, doing whatever it took to feed, clothe and house her and her baby brother Jiri. She has a fierce determination and a guarded heart. Captivating blonde/blue-eyed or Eastern European-looking ingenue. Must be able to act full gamut of emotion while affecting Czech (similar to Russian) accent.
ALENA (16-24), bubbly, girlishly naive, young Eastern European/Russian-looking beauty. Must be able to act full gamut of emotion while affecting Czech (similar to Russian) accent.
LENKA (16-24), Prominent role. Few lines, spoken in Czech (Similar to Russian) accent. A younger Milena, less street savvy. She is so striking, she stands out from the others. Prefer blonde/blue-eyed, but will consider others.
LIDA (20-27), Fierce Eastern European/Russian-looking beauty who is "big sister" to all the other girls. Street tough survivor who takes no guff from anyone. Extensive acting, small speaking role, Czech accent (similar to Russian).
KAMILA (18-30), NUDITY (no contact). Eastern European/Russian-looking ingenue. Prefer all-natural. She is selected from the others, cleaned up and presented to a customer, where she drops her dress in front of him. Nudity scene is in the feature only, but Kamila must be among the other girls in the first half (for Teaser/short film). Very small speaking role, Czech accent.
