Character Breakdown:
SARAH: Female, Caucasian, 18-26 to play 20-22 – TX LOCAL
Dallas Blonde. Highland Park Girl. Debutante with a body that can stop a clock. Has her momma’s looks and her daddy’s money. Has never heard the word no and she is not going to start now. Billy’s girlfriend, or at least she thinks she is.
SASHA: Female, Any ethnicity, 18-24 – TX LOCAL HIRE
Works at the restaurant at Hydrous wake park. Sassy and sexy. A bit of a surfer/hippie type. She has it bad for Billy and a bit of a groupie. Sasha is all attitude and completely juxtaposed to Sarah’s prim and proper persona. The kind of girl Billy should be dating.
COACH: Male, Any ethnicity, 40s-50s – TX LOCAL
(*local preferred, but not required. Name Talent Considered)
Unassuming kiteboarding coach to Billy. Attractive, Athletic, Fit. Lives within his means, which isn’t much. Father figure and caretaker to Billy. Coach took him on to raise when he lost his parents. Supportive and loving. Kiteboarder a plus. Does not actually kiteboard on screen.
DINER WAITRESS:– Female, Caucasian, 50s - TX LOCAL ** UPDATED **
50-60 yrs. old - Caucasian: Could be the mom of either Johnny or Slimeball. Plain looking. Overweight. Most likely a heavy smoker and drinker. Her voice, skin and teeth all tell her tale.
JOHNNY: Male, Caucasian, 18-25 - TX LOCAL
Short order cook in a roadside diner. Thinks he owns the joint. Stereotypical white trash. Super creepy, especially if you ask a woman her opinion. His mother didn’t love him. Considers himself somewhat of a ladies man, but never gets any unless he pays for it. Talks a big game, but is no match for Billy. Forceful and violent.
SLIMEBALL: Male, Caucasian, 18-25 - TX LOCAL
His name says it all. King of the southern white trash. Stocky build preferred. Chef at the Seedy roadside Diner. He has been hanging out at the diner for what seems like an eternity. It has certainly been since he dropped out of school in 10 th grade. Best friend of Johnny and is only a soldier until he has to go into battle.
