THEME: This story is about a young man named Joey explaining how he lost his mother and having to move away from his home, but eventually realizing God promises to be with him through it all.
FILM TYPE: Short film to be shown at the Live Event: Superstart
USAGE: Shown during the live event to those 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students attending CIY SuperStart!:
PAY: Paid $291/day + 20% AF ($350 day total) MODIFIED LOCAL HIRE. Lodging + up to $400 Travel Allowance *See below* SHOOT LOCATION: Joplin, MO

SHOOT DATE: Placeholder on the week of August 5th, 1 six hour rehearsal day (paid as half day) and 3 twelve hour shoot days. Not all roles will be needed all days.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: *Please note, all shooting days are estimates at this point. The script is still in draft phase and number of shoot days can change.
Joey: male, 10-14 years old, Caucasian, speaking, loses his mother and has to move away from his home. Will need to be able to cry tears on cue. Will need to be able to portray anger and sadness on camera. ($145 for 1 rehearsal day, $291/day for 3 shooting days + 20% Agency Fee. Rate + 20% Agency Fee Totaling $1225)
Chris: male, 30-40 years old, Caucasian, speaking Father of Joey, Husband of JoAnn. Has to break the news to his son that his mom has died. ($145 for 1 rehearsal day, $291/day for 2 days + 20% Agency Fee. Rate + 20% Agency Fee Totaling $875)
JoAnn: 30-40 year old female, Caucasian, speaking, wife of Chris and mother of Joey. An artist who draws pictures for Joey so he will have these after she is gone. Has an incurable disease. ($291/day for 1 day + 20% Agency Fee. Rate + 20% Agency Fee Totaling $350)
Eric: 10-14 year old male, African American, moves in next door to Joey in the new town. Plays the same card game that Joey loves so they immediately connect and become best friends. ($291/day for 2 days + 20% Agency Fee. Rate + 20% Agency Fee Totaling $700)
NOTE: 20% agency fee is included in the final total.
TRANSPORTATION: CIY will reimburse travel costs up to $400 (Joey, Chris, Eric) and $200 (JoAnn), no matter if traveling alone or with a parent. This $400 or $200 can be used towards gas, lodging, or meals/food on the road. (Make sure your travel expenses will not exceed the posted amount BEFORE you submit)
Included: Hotel (1 private room), meals and craft services for the day of filming.
Not included: Meals or additional lodging for extra days before or after the shoot outside of call time on shoot days. We do not pay per diem. Transportation to and from set is responsibility of talent.
