In appearance, we're looking for someone in line with conventional depictions of Jesus: early 30s, average height and build, a compelling look, long dark hair and a beard. Most important is talent and the right vibe - compassionate and compelling, able to be very tender or very strong. The role involves long monologues and high volume shooting days, so professionalism is of paramount importance. It's strongly preferred that the actor already has the hair and beard, but we would be willing to provide it for a performance that otherwise is a perfect fit.

30s, should look about the same age as Jesus. Rugged, brash, gregarious, outspoken, even pushy - though not unkind. A leader, but with an "act-first, ask

questions later" kind of manner.

10ish, lovely inside and out, wins the viewers over from the start. Excitable, but also capable of sensitivity, empathy, aware of the needs of others. A significant, demanding role for a young actress.

50s, broad and intimidating, but catch him interacting with his family and he's warm and gentle. The hardworking family protector, provider, leader - a position he loves. Would love to cast with a big beard.

40s, elegant and gentle. Toviyah’s wife. Always active - serving, working, seeing to her husband and children. Always watching, reading the room, tuned into the thoughts and feelings of others.

James, Andrew, Nathaniel, James of Alphaes, Judas, Thaddeus, Matthew, Philip, Simon the Zealot, Thomas

These disciples should be mid 20s, rugged and sun-weathered, and bearded. Within these roles, we'd like to see a variety of looks. Though not all these roles have lines, they are not just scenery. Each will have significant camera time and one-on-one interaction with Jesus, so talent is required.
